Playing Texas Holdem Poker  is much simpler then the way it sounds. You can learn how to play Texas holdem Poker within few minutes.

This section covers everything that is basics of the texas holdem poker game. This is more referred as a community game and each of the players are dealt with two cards. Players have to make 5-card hand that is highest value. The players are also supposed to hold two hole cards in their hands after making 5-card best hand. In this game, the dealer button moves in clockwise direction starting from one player to another indicating the player that has dealers position.

Blinds

This game is played between two players where each of them is forced to place blind bets. Before dealing the cards both players have to place certain amount of predetermined amount in the pot which are termed as Big blind and Small blind. Big blind is equal to the minimum bet while small bet is exactly half of this amount.

Deal

Players are then dealt with two cards each that are face down. Players are expected to combine these two cards along with other five cards that are placed on the table and make their best poker hand.

The first betting begins as the cards are dealt. The player sitting left to Big blind is always the first one to start playing the game. He is offered with three separate options –

• Fold – The player is expected to throw all his cards in the muck and all his hands are considered as dead hands by the dealer.
• Call- The player is expected to pay bet that is equivalent to Big blind.
• Raise- Here the player is expected to increase the amount of bet and the size generally depends on the game that is being played.

In limit games the size of raise is generally predetermined by all players. If the players decide pot-limit game then this amount can not exceed pot size. If players choose to play no-limit game then they are free to bet any amount. In this game the players can also call for re-raise but they are expected to place bet that is equivalent to original betting amount.

Flop

After finishing the initial round players are allowed to flop. In this round dealer deals players with 3 face up cards in the center of the table. These are then shared by other players to make best hand.

After this the players are dealt with second betting round. The first player who is sitting to the left of the dealer has three options.

• Fold – The player is again expected to throw his cards in the muck.
• Bet – The player is expected to place his bet.
• Check – The player can stay in the game without placing his bet till other player has placed his bet. After that he can make his decision.

In case this player decides to place his bet, then all other players have their rights to fold or continue betting. The moment all betting is done, the cards are revealed. The player who is having best 5-card hand is declared as the winner of the game. In this gamed the player is also allowed to make use of single or two hole cards. In case there is a tie, then the pot is split between the players.
